OKLAHOMA  ARREST  WARRANTS

It is not uncommon for situations to arise where it is unclear if a person has an active warrant issued for their arrest. Unfortunately, active warrants are only referenced in a protected system that is not readily accessible to the public. Please do not hesitate to contact our office, and we will do our best to help you navigate this process and provide further guidance on the bail bonds process.

If it is confirmed that a warrant exists and the bail amount has already been established, our affordable bail bondsman can arrange a time to meet with you and complete the necessary paperwork before the accused is surrendered to the jail. From our experience, this approach helps make the surrendering process less stressful and reduces the amount of time the accused could spend in jail before their release.

Types Of Arrest Warrants

Violation Of Probation Warrant(VOP)

There are two types of probation violations: substantive and technical. A violation of probation warrant is written by the probation officer and sent to a criminal judge who signs the warrant if they deem it necessary. Once signed, the warrant is placed in the database for warrants.

Substantive Violations Are:

  • When you commit, are charged, and/or are accused of a new crime.

Summons & Sworn Complaint Warrants

Summons Warrant

A summons warrant is when a criminal or traffic complaint has been filed and a written order by the courts requires you to appear in court on a certain date and time. If a summons is issued, a notice will be mailed to your last known listed address. Once you receive the notice you must pick up the summons from the Sheriff’s warrants department. If the summons is not collected, the courts will issue a warrant for your arrest.

Sworn Complaint Warrant

A sworn complaint warrant is when an individual or officer will file a sworn affidavit (complaint) against a person that they suspect of a crime. Most of the time, a sworn complaint results in a summons but may occur and/or conclude in an arrest warrant.
